How To Get Over Heartache...

The best way to get over heartache is to move into something new. 


It's not always something you CAN do.  And when you can, it's not always EASY to do.  I mean, if someone dies you can't just replace them.  And sometimes it works with exes but sometimes unfortunately it does not.


BUT in the case of shoe heartache it totally works! 


Tonight after returning the remaining 3 out of the 5 6 pairs of shoes that didn't fit I decided screw shoes! Instead I headed over to the purse section.  Because no matter what a purse will always fit!   I don't have to worry about that damn heel slippage at all with a purse.  I've been looking for a new purse for a while now but haven't found one I just had to take home.


My sister asked me before Christmas if I had seen the new Fossil purses because they had birds on them.  I told her I had not.  I had seen (and bought) Fossil purse/accessories at Ross with birdcages on them but not the pattern she was talking about.  She had seen this "very Kerri" purse but didn't end up getting it for me because it was out of her price range.  I finally saw the purse she was talking about while at the mall and almost choked on the price tag...$108.  The way I mistreat am absent minded with my purses that is so way out of my price range it isn't even funny.  Besides I buy "name brand" purses at Ross because I'm, also, very cheap.  But I loved this purse so much I wish I had the money to buy it.  Since then every time I am in a Macy's or Dillard's I wander over to the Fossil section praying it is on sale.  It has been on sale numerous times since Christmas but never enough for me to do more than just drool over it (and all the other matching accessories).  


Last night with the remaining $43 Macy's gift card (stupid shipping!) I had after my very sad return(s) I wandered over to the Fossil section and saw that the purse was on sale for $81.  Still out of my price range.  Then I noticed that Macy's was having an extra sale of an additional 25% off sales prices.  Okay, with my GC and the sale(S!), the Fossil purse I'd been drooling over for 2 months was in my totally doable range.  


Then I noticed that there was an additional 10% off if you used your Macy's Store Credit Card.  For those of you who do math that is a total of... AWHOLESHITLOAD% off of THE purse! Please forgive me, I am not a math person.  I could totally pry open my wallet to dig out my Macy's Store CC for that!


So when all was said & done I paid $20.42 out of pocket (or on my Macy's  card but I will pay that off tomorrow when I pay bills).  Now $20.42 isn't as cool as FREE but $20.42 for a Fossil Key-Per Vintage Shopper Handbag is PRETTY. DAMN. COOL!!


Isn't my new love BEA-UT-I-FULL??!!...

 This is the Fossil make-up bag ($7.99) & coin purse ($4.99) I got at Ross a few months ago.

They don't match my new purse but they are just as cool.  

Now I just need a new wallet but that can wait until I get the same kind of smoking deal!
