What I Wore Wednesday: Week 3

Joining at The Pleated Poppy

I actually tried wearing this outfit last week.  For some reason I was extra klutzy that day so wearing the needed footwear for this dress was out of the question.  I nearly killed myself in my Dollhouse wedges.  I fell out of my wedged flip flops and then fell off of my FLAT flip flops.  Yeah, not sure how I did that either.  Instead I settled for wearing capri's and flat sandals that strapped around my ankle to insure I didn't fall off or out of them.

I didn't get any photo's of me wearing this outfit yesterday but it is exactly the same, sans the hair flower.  I couldn't get my hair to cooperate with hair accessories.

I love the pop of the turquoise amongst the black...

Here's what I'm wearing today...
Vest: Pink Rose via TJ Maxx ($10 clearance)
Cream cami: Old Navy ($5)
Navy cami: Target ($6)
Bermuda jean shorts: OLD!

Needless to say I fell off the no buying/shopping bandwagon.  I'm blaming Ashley at The Shine Project for this weeks Shine Challenge.  We are to put together a vintage/thrifted outfit.  So I went out and found a never worn Old Navy skirt (more details on that find Friday).  I needed to find a shirt to go with said skirt as nothing I own matches.  Apparently, nothing any of the stores have (at least at Ross, Target & TJ Maxx) matches either.

Anyway, the $5 thrifted Old Navy skirt ended up being the equivalent to the gateway drug.  As in MY gateway drug...clothing/shopping.

When I see a super good deal it takes just about everything in me to walk away.  So I guess I don't have a whole hell of a lot in me since I caved and ended up making a purchase.  Or two.

Ring: Charming Charlie (old)
Bracelet: UO Leather Wrap Bracelet (old)
Earrings: You can't see them but I'm wearing the Vintage Rose earrings I won
They match my ring perfectly!

This is what I'll be wearing tomorrow...
No, it's not a purse.  Clutch, really.
But the clutch is not what I'll be wearing.  It just goes perfectly with the outfit.
I got it at a STEAL!  Had to share...

So cute right?!

$3.74 at Target.  S.T.E.A.L!

THIS is what I'll be wearing...
White cami: TJ Maxx ($4.99)
Fuchsia(?) tank: Target ($6.00)
Shorts: Limited via TJ Maxx ($7.50)
Bracelet: Target ($3.99)
Necklace: Target (old)
Shoes: Charlotte Russe (old)

I would have worn it earlier in the week but I forgot to do laundry so I couldn't wear it yet.  These photo's are from after I bought them & were trying to figure out what they went with.
With cardigan: Target

Close up of earrings: Charming Charlie (old)

Bracelet: Target ($3.99)
Necklace: Target (old)
Rings: Charming Charlie (old)

Close up on necklace.  I LOVE it!

Ever notice how I photograph jewelry better than outfits?  Proof of where my true love lies.

P.S.  Just because something has a price next to it it doesn't mean I just bought it.  It just means I actually remember the price.  Probably because it was THAT awesome.  The clutch, vest and shorts are new purchases that I made this week.  I may have fallen off the wagon but not that bad.  =)

You are so stinkin' cute Kerri. I think I need you as my stylist!?! I could pay you in sparkles :).

PS...love the flower, but maybe I'm biased.

You are too kind! Seriously, are we bloggy BFF's yet? Cuz I'm sorta thinkin' we are. I would love to tell you what to wear. Bossing people around is my speciality. Just ask my real life BFF. My style method is wear what I want and hope it goes together & pray as you walk out the door nobody laughs.

P.S. You are biased but for good reason the flower is awesome!
