Day 30 - Saddest character death:
Joyce Summers – ‘The Body’ Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
She was the first, actually, the only (I think) character to die a natural death. All the characters reactions were so real & heartbreaking. Joyce dying was totally unexpected.
Jo & Ellen Harvelle – ‘Abandon All Hope…’ Supernatural.
Considering everybody has died on Supernatural (literally) Jo & Ellen’s deaths were shocking, poignant & gave Jo’s character real purpose. The fact that Ellen sacrificed herself to save Sam & Dean so they could continue their mission to return the Devil to Hell & to help Jo finish the task she needed to do but couldn’t because she was dying was just gut wrenching! Ellen, also, obviously made the choice because she knew she couldn’t go on in a world where her daughter wasn’t with her. It shows a lot about their bond & the progression of the mending of their relationship.
The fact that Jo & Ellen died saving the Winchester boys, also, shows a lot of forgiveness & acceptance of their families’ pasts together. Honestly, thinking of this last part of the episode gets me a little bit choked up still.

Star Trek: The Next Generation or Sea Quest DSV. I will deny this if ever brought up but…
Sea Quest DSV was the first (AND ONLY) time I wrote fanfic. I know, I know…I was way cool to be writing fanfic before fanfic was the cool ‘in’ thing to do.

Day 27 - Best pilot episode:
Really any that grab you & get your attention right from the get go. Where you care about the characters & plots and want to know more by the end of the first hour.
Fringe…I mean what a mess of WTF’s & mass confusion, I had no idea what was going on but I really couldn’t wait to find out.

30 Days of TV Shows: Day 26
Day 26 - OMG WTF? Season finale:
For a while it seem like every season finale out there was an OMG WTF?! It was like everyone was competing for the biggest & baddest “Yes that just happened & will screw everything up next season” moment.
Case in point… The last two season finale’s of Private Practice. Oh, and last season’s finale of Gray’s Anatomy. Most stressful hour (or two) of my life!...and there have been some pretty damn stressful hours thanks to stupid TV season finale cliffhangers!
I’m not going to mention the last 5 season finale’s of Supernatural. Especially, not season 4 when Dean couldn’t find way way out of his CrossRoads Demon deal, died by being shredded by the unseen Hell Hounds & went to Hell to be tortured. Nope, not going to do it because I’m sure by now everyone is sick of hearing about my totally justifiable obsession with Supernatural.

30 Days of TV Shows: Day 24
Day 24 - Best quote:
First and formost…Merry Christmas Eve!
Okay, back to the task at hand… How do you pick a best quote? TV is littered with them!! I can think of at least 10 from Firefly, Supernatural, Buffy…
Supernatural quotes:
“Driver picks the music; shotgun shuts his cakehole!” - Dean
"Hey, see if they've got any pie. Bring me some pie. I love me some pie." -Dean
“I shot the sheriff” - Henriksen
“But you didn't shoot the deputy." - Dean
"On Thursdays, we're teddy bear doctors." Dean
"I found a liquor store. And I drank it." Castiel
“You think you're funny?” - Henricksen
“I think I'm adorable.” - Dean
“You mean 'protection against a demon' salt or 'oops I spilt the popcorn' salt?” Dean
“Umm, these are amazing. It's like deep fried crack. Try some.” – Ruby (about french fries)
“Who do I have to kill to get some french fries around here?” – Ruby (after possessing a coma patient who just was just pronounced dead)
“You're not gonna bust out the misty goodbye speech, okay? I mean, if this is my last day on Earth, I do not want it to be socially awkward.” - Dean
Firefly quotes:
“I aim to misbehave.” Mal
“Well, look at this. Appears we got here just in the nick of time! What does that make us?” - Mal
“Big Damn Heroes, Sir!” - Zoe
“My god — you’re like a trained ape. Without the training.” - Simon
“Yes, sir, Cap'n Tight-Pants.” – Kaylee
“She's a mite whimsical in the brainpan.” - Mal
Buffy quotes:
“I didn't jump. I took a tiny step, and there conclusions were.” – Buffy
“Bored now.” - Vampire Willow
“I laugh in the face of danger. Then I hide until it goes away.” – Xander
“Love makes you do the wacky.” – Willow
"Can you vague that up for me?" - Buffy

Lana – Smallville. She’s the reason I stopped watching it. I started back up last season but then she was on it for a while & I stopped again. She’s the only thing I ever hated about that show.

Last Christmas
Last Christmas by Wham! was released 26 years ago and in all that time I've somehow never seen this video until today.
How I've managed to do that is beyond me...I mean, this is one of my favorite Christmas songs. Plus, I loved me some Wham! back in the day. Also, not going to lie...I still love me some Wham! I still secretely break out into the "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" dance whenever I hear the song.
P.S. Maybe if I had seen this video earlier I may not have harbored such a mad cruch on George Michael for as long as I did. The evidence between Wake Me Up's video and this one it is blatenly obvious I was not the cup of tea George was into.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer – Their chemistry was awesome!
Supernatural – The tallent on that show is amazing! The main 2 actors, the supporting cast & the guest actors are superb!
Firefly – Nathan Fillion & Adam Baldwin…nuff’ said but then you have Summer Glau, who killed it as River and everyone else who rocked their character on that show! Joss Whedon knows his actors!

30 Days of TV Shows: Day 18
Day 18 - Favorite title sequence:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It pumps you up every time. Nurf Herder rocks it!
Supernatural. It’s short & sweet. They basically give you the “Then” & “Now” and the season’s graphics behind the name:
S1: Was just the title with blue letters
S2: The title showed with bursting flames & the A was a pentagram (Flames were for the yellow-eyed demon & the way Mary Winchester & Jessica were killed)
S3: The “Key of Solomon” symbol was shown before the title which had mystical/lighting looking clouds (The Key of Solomon is use as a devil’s trap, used often to trap demons)
S4: Was a bunch of black wings flapping followed by the sound of someone screaming & the title (The black wings represented the Angels, who’s wings were never actually shown but would show as massive black shadows when needed)
S5: Supernatural shows with a drop of blood dispersing in the background with sounds of a heart beat. (Guessing it represents Sam drinking demon blood & all the blood shed during the season because there was a LOT)
S6: A pane of glass shatters, revealing the title. (Haven’t figured out why yet but I’m guessing it has to do with all the illusions going on & Sam’s “soul”)

30 Days of TV Shows: Day 15
Day 15 - Favorite female character:
I’ve been considering this question since I read over this list after I found it. I still haven’t come up with an answer. If given a show I could tell you my favorite female on the show but to just pick one I can’t seem to do it. Maybe it shows a bit of the female psyche. Maybe I just haven’t been “swept off my feet” by one particular female character. Really, I don’t know and if I haven’t figured it out by now it’s not likely I will.

30 Days of TV Shows: Day 10
Day 10 - A show you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving:
True Blood - a friend was watching it & explained it but apparently didn’t explain it very well. It sounded horrendously horrible, I couldn’t figure out why she’d even watch it. It sounded like nothing she’d ever watch but once I actually watched an episode I was hooked.
Keeping Up with the Kardashians - for obvious reasons but I love watching that crazy family.

Wasn't good, wasn't bad, I was naughty and nice...
Anyone who knows me knows I'm sort of a Christmas Scrooge, at least when it comes to the decorations & music. Oh, the horror of Christmas music...especially, when it's forced on you while you're stuck in mass lines with people who have anything but holiday cheer.
I gave up on Christmas decorations after moving into my first apartment & having to re-put up my 12 inch Christmas tree numerous times a day due to my far too curious cats. They found that the fake tree was a tasty treat & had nice new shiny toys for them to play with & break.
I'm down with the gift giving and the forced family time (which really isn't all that forced when you actually love your family) but the month long Christmas music makes me want to go out and throw rocks instead of snowballs. Not that there is any snow here in HotasHELL, AZ but you get my drift. My adversion of Christmas music may trace back to an old co-worker who idolized Beth & Bill (KEZ99.9) & had them on 24\7 which meant that every Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM there was nonstop Christmas music from the day after Thanksgivng until New Years. After 8 or so years that is far too much Christmas music for this girl to take.
There are a few Christmas songs I like, you know the old non-traditional classic's like "Santa Baby" & "I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas". I could probably get behind Christmas music more if there were more songs like this...
"All I Want for Christmas Is Us" - Tristan Prettyman ft./ Jason Mraz

If this doesn't feel like Christmas then I don't know what does...
Looks like Christmas has come a bit early this year...
"2010 is coming to a close, and Toad the Wet Sprocket is preparing for a busy 2011. We'll be touring throughout the year, and are excited to be switching up the set and adding some new surprises.
Since we broke up in 1997, we haven't made much in the way of long term plans. That's changing this year - we're a band again.
Click here to download "It Doesn't Feel Like Christmas". The song was penned by our friend Sam Phillips, and we hope you enjoy it!..... Thanks" - Toad/Glen Phillips

30 Days of TV Shows: Day 7
Day 07 - Least favorite episode of your favorite TV show:
"Sin City" or “The Magnificent Seven" - Supernatural
I'm not sure why but these episodes are the hardest ones to sit through. They weren't necessarily bad but they weren't as great as the other episodes in season 3, or any othere season.
There may be a few episodes that'll trump these two this season, season 6, but until I review them again I won't know.

30 Days of TV Shows: Day 6
Day 06 - Favorite episode of your favorite TV show:
"Hush" – Buffy the Vampire Slayer:

No episode has freaked me out so badly. I had nightmares after. The quietness throughout almost the whole episode was sooo eerie. The Gentlemen were way way creepy! Their silence only made them even more creepifying. It was, also, pretty ground breaking...only about 17 minutes of dialogue is presented in the entire 44 minutes of "Hush". I don't think anyone but Joss Whedon would be crazy enough to try something like that, especially when dialogue is a major story mover & what is normal is for TV shows, especailly one that was an "hour" long.

"In the Beginning" - Supernatural:

"In the Beginning" - Supernatural:
It was heartwarming, funny, and completely heartbreaking. It gave a lot of background & mythology on the series. Jensen Ackles knocked it out of the park during this episode. Of course, he knocks it out of the park in every episode but he was extra shiny on this one.
Summary:
"Castiel sends Dean back in time to 1973 where he encounters younger versions of his parents and for the first time meets his grandfather Samuel Campbell who holds a secret that sheds a light on the Winchester Family's connection to the hunter community."
"After Hours" – Third Watch (not my favorite show but this episode has always stuck with me):
I’m not even sure if I can explain the episode. Third Watch was a reality based show and this episode had a spiritual theme to it. It was really powerful. For a while after watching it I’d get goose bumps every time I thought of it or talked to someone about it.
Summary :
“The deaths of four teenagers in a fiery car crash profoundly affects the third watch, who were forced to stand by helplessly, unable to save the victims. They congregate at the end of the shift to dispel their sadness and anger at the horrific images of the crash. Faith, Sully and Doc spend time sitting quietly in a cafe; Ty, Bobby, Carlos and Alex go to a bar; and Kim, Bosco and Jimmy go bowling. As evening turns into day, Faith's group meets up with a young woman, Ty's group meets up with a young man, and Kim's group meets up with a young couple in love. At dawn, everyone ends up at the a beach and they build a bonfire. As the flames flicker, we see a flashback to the moments immediately preceding the car crash and discover that the young people whom they met during the course of the evening are the spirits of the teenagers who died in the crash, who were sent back down to earth to tell them that the crash could not have been prevented, and they are not to blame for being unable to save them.”
(For whatever reason this part won't convert to the same font as the rest...annoying! Stupid glitch!!)
