I'd like to mention the return of my floral arrangement to my night stand (as seen in the outfit photos) . I had to remove it when I got Remington because he was eating it. Since I broke the lamp off the other night stand I had to figure out how to redecorate it (I moved my sister photo that sat where the vase is now).

So far the floral arrangement reintroduction has not gone over as well as I had hoped. Remington still insists it is some kind of snack food instead of a decoration. No amount of discipline helps. I may have the worlds most. stubborn. cat. E.V.E.R! I'm just about as stubborn so I have yet to just give up and move the floral arrangement back up on top of my book shelf and find something else to use to balance out my night stands. So in the meantime we're locked in this bitter battle on who is more stubborn. Which leaves me totally annoyed & mad all the time and leaves Remington soaking wet (water bottle discipline, when I "spank him" or tap him on the nose I feel bad; plus, it works just as well as the water bottle. Which means it doesn't.) and moody.

I really need to be the adult here and just give in because if I don't all the flowers are going to be eaten off & stems ruined, which would make me very sad...and mad. I'm sure it is not skin off Remi's back since he's a cat and all.

Fill in the Blank Friday #12

1. The best thing I did all week was eat my sisters yummy tacos.

2. My sisters yummy tacos make me super happy.

3. Pets are INSANE! But totally fun & loveable .

4. My sisters yummy tacos are is the best thing about my life. Just joking…my friends, family & cats are is the best thing about my life.

5. With the cooler weather I am looking forward to not sweating to death when I drive around, being able to wear sweaters all day long & outside, boots and jeans.

6. Something that's on my "wish list" right now is a laptop. A new car probably should have been the first to poop in mind for the top of my list but didn’t. Oh, priorities! LOL.

7. This weekend I am going to clean my apartment in preperation for my sisters coming into town, gather stuff for a yard sale my sister is wanting to have, and a cram session of watching Criminal Minds Season 3 so I can take it back Sunday (it’s on a waiting list so it can’t be renewed). So exciting, I know!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE if you are going to

terrorize fish by fishing please clean up after yourselves

and don't leave fishing line just laying around.

I know it is unavoidable sometimes, like when your line breaks when it's in the water, but PLEASE do your best to get as much

broken and extra line up off the ground (and or out of the water) as you can, AND THEN PUT INTO A TRASH CAN.

What day is it??

I've been running a day (or two) behind all week. It wasn't until late afternoon yesterday that I realized that it was WEDNESDAY and not TUESDAY. Although I know yesterday was WEDNESDAY I still cannot get over the fact that today is THURSDAY. What does this all mean?? Well, I didn't do What I Wore Wednesday yesterday and I apparently forgot last night that it was indeed still WEDNESDAY so I didn't do my THURSDAY Latelies last night.

If I'm lucky I can squeeze out my WIWW today and have something to throw up for Thursday Latelies tomorrow. I feel like I'm on auto pilot lately, my brain just won't engage like it should. My co-worker had Monday & Tuesday off (plus, she never works on Friday) and my other "co-worker" has been off all week as well so I've been in the office by myself way too much, which is why I'm all of schedule. Could be part of the reason for the auto pilot as well. If I'm alone in the office I have no personal interaction with anyone. Maybe a short phone call here or there but unless I stop somewhere on the way home I do not come into contact with another human being all day. Some days I love that. Some days I hate it. Some days I don't noticed either way. This week has been a little of each.

All I can think of right now is that tonight I am going to my sisters for TACOS. It's my brother-in-law's birthday and it was his choice what his birthday dinner was going to be. He is a man after my own heart, and lucky for me, his favorite dish is my favorite dish so even on his birthday I get a present. Erv & Georgie's tacos are the best damn tacos I've ever had. Nothing really special or different about them except that they are made by Erv & Georgie.

I can't remember if I've mentioned this before on here (I'm too lazy to go check) but when my nephew, Nick, and I were about 10 we had a taco eating contest. I don't think it started out as a contest but since we are only a month apart (I am 26 days older) everything back then was a contest. Who was taller, who was faster, who was better looking, who could eat more... you get the picture. I think it was about the time we were both on our 3rd taco that we decided to try to outdo each other. My sister finally cut us off at 10 tacos each, but had she not I'm sure we would have kept going until we exploded. At 10 tacos each, I'm not sure how we didn't explode anyway. I don't even remember being sick after all that either. Ten tacos is a bit legendary but I swear that is the correct number.

Luckily we grew out of that everything is a contest phase but man, it was fun back then. Now-a-day's we mostly just argue who is the better looking of the two...or more Nick does. I know I am and don't like to rub it in. ; -)

*Sorry for the shakiness. I didn't realize how bad it was until I was downloading it. WOW. Using your iPhone to video yourself isn't all that easy. At least, not any of the ways I know how to do it. Anyone have any tips let me know. Please. Thanks! I may just switch back to my camera since both iPhone & camera have issues with the computer when uploading. Or more the computer has issues with them. Or just the process of uploading videos. It loves to uploaded them and then immediately go to the Blue Screen of Death.

Wishing I had long nails...

Thanks to GS Lillian Daily & her Midweek Manicure series I now know of the water marble manicure craze. How I haven't heard of this before amazes me. Of course, I rarely paint my nails so maybe that's why.

Mostly because they end up looking like this...

(Anyone notice it's hard to take a good picture of your hands? They end up looking all weird and alien like.)

Of course, this is day like day 4 or something but they pretty much looked like this the next morning after I painted them. Nail polish and my finger nails just don't get a long. It doesn't matter if I use a base & top coat or how many coats of polish I put on. It chips & starts peeling off within 24 hours...and by 24 hours I mean more like long before the 12 hour mark hits.

It doesn't help that I am not pro active when dealing with chipping nail polish, as you can tell from my 4 day old nail polish mess I am currently rocking. I just plain forget or am too busy (ie. lazy) to remember to take it off right away.

When I let it sit and continue to chip & peel off it ruins my nails. How that in itself isn't a motivator is beyond me. It's a struggle I've been having since Jr. High. My finger nails just aren't a priority. If I have any length to my nails prior to polish it will for sure be gone after polishing them. I have thin nails that peel often to begin with and nail polish just aggravates it. Right now it looks like I've chewed my nails off but I've never been a nail chewer. Nope, they've either broke down into my nail bed or they've had to be clipped down that low due to some sort of damage.

I've tried just about everything to help my nails (except I've never tried prenatal vitamins but that's totally next!). I'm beginning to think that it just is what it is, just like my super fine hair or my need for glasses.

Okay, enough of the rambling on about my super crappy nails, which really isn't what I wanted to talk about. Water Marble Nail Art is what I want to talk about. It's so stinkin' cool I can't stand it!! The possibilities of designs and color combos have no end. If I had long nails (or even nails that were beyond the end of my finger tips) I'd totally try Water Marble Nail Art!!
